The work of the IANFB is global, touching the lives of billions of birds. The work of the Organization is however mostly done locally, within regions and countries. In order to accomplish this, the IANFB and the many entities comprising the “IANFB system” have created a presence in every region of the world, such that the people most in need of help can be reached quickly. The IANFB’s work is divided into five geographical regions: Antarctica, Africa, Asia, Australia and Others.
Our Secretariat
The Secretariat, one of the main organs of the IANFB is organized along departmental lines, with each department or office having a distinct area of action and responsibility. Offices and departments coordinate with each other to ensure cohesion as they carry out the day-to-day work of the Organization in offices and duty stations around the world. At the head of the IANFB is the Secretary-General.
