Banned on Instagram and Facebook

NonFlyingbirds.com has been banned on social media platforms Instagram and Facebook, a tragedy sparking an international outcry. The web address of the International Alliance for Non-Flying Birds (IANFB) cannot be linked to anymore on the vague basis of ‘breaching community guidelines’.

Dr. A.J. Tučniak, the IANFB’s Secretary General, is furious: ‘Time after time they have tried to shut us down. Penguin, dodo, kiwi, ostrich and emu voices need to be heard. They need to be heard, now more than ever.’

Critics say the ban came after an Alliance intern tried to spam the Botswana Ostrich Farmers Facebook Group, a claim the Secretary General categorically denies: ‘Absolutely shameless how they try to frame one intern, not the sharpest tool in the shed really, for the deplatforming of an organisation touching the lives of billions of birds.’

When checked by IANFB News, the Instagram account of the organisation appeared to be still online -although frozen- and with only 26 followers, casting doubts on the claim by Dr. Tučniak that ‘many millions of non-flying bird fans worldwide’ were now left uninformed.
